 Many disabled people find it difficult to maintain their fitness because of impairment related reasons, or because many exercise or healthy eating regimes do not allow for their impairment.
You can download a free gentle exercise programme from One Voice called Chairobics: or come to one of our meetings.
Many organisations now do regular accompanied walks, including One Voice,
Healthy Living organised through the adult college runs a range of exercise classes for mixed groups from gentle movement to energetic.

Flourish2bu is a programme running in Wolverhampton, aimed at providing exercise opportunities for disabled people in the city, to try and cut down obesity levels. They run a variety of programmes.

Blakenhall Community and Healthy Living Centre runs a free gym on Tuesday evenings between 5-7pm.

Vijay, the instructor there will do an induction for you, free of charge.

Bus routes number 1 and 713 are the nearest routes to the centre.


Easy Line Gyms are based in community centres around Wolverhampton, and offer a range of equipment which together will give you a complete cardio vascular workout, in a friendly atmosphere. It costs between £1.50 and £1.70  per 1 hour session. In addition some of the centres charge an annual fee of £1-£2.
Sessions take place at Ashmore Park Community Centre, Blakenhall community and Healthy Living Centre, Dunstall Hill Community Centre, Eastfield Community Centre, Lower Bradley Community Centre, and Low Hill Community Centre.
