The NHS will be advertising 53 local Apprenticeship opportunities in March.
Thirteen placement opportunities will exist for Business Administration Apprenticeships across NHS bases in West Bromwich, Sandwell, Dudley, Amblecote and Stourbridge.
With 37 ‘NEW’ Healthcare Assistant Apprentices placements. The HCA’s will be employed by the Black Country Partnership Foundation Trust NHS.
This Trust specialises with people suffering and living with mental and/or learning disabilities. The Ward based environment is challenging, but we have found our first in-take of apprentices recruited in June 2014 be progressing successfully. Hence, the recruitment to appoint another 37 apprentices.
Candidates are able to select area of specialism wither Mental Health or Learning Disabilities and can be based at any one of the listed bases below:
Mental Health bases are:
Edward Street – West Bromwich
Hallam Street – West Bromwich
Penn Hospital – Wolverhampton
Learning Disabilities bases are:
Penrose/Newton House – Sandwell
Sutton Drive/Daisy Bank – Walsall
Ridge Hill – Dudley
Pond Lane – Wolverhampton
The NHS will be running two Open Days for interested candidates in ALL areas, these will be held at the following dates and times:
- Tuesday 13th January at PENN HOSPITAL, The Beeches Training Centre, Penn Road, Penn, Wolverhampton, WV4 5HN.
Session 1 will run 9.15am to 12.30 noon
Session 2 will run 1.15pm – 4.30pm
