Loch Lomond Weekend Trek from18 –21 September 2015
Are you looking for a challenge? Would you like to trek
through some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK? Could
you help fundraise Activeyes while tackling a challenging 26
mile trek over two days? Then come and join the Beacon Loch Lomond Trek on September 18th 2015. Full details are attached in the trek pack but put simply, it’s 26 miles over two days walking in Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, with two nights
camping, arranged by Venture Trust, a Scottish based charity
which provides outward bounds experiences. The trek is accessible for people with sight loss (including guide dogs) and transport can be arranged from Beacon if there is enough interest. For more information or for any queries contact Tim.
We will soon be looking to run a new 8 week Learn to Play Golf
short course at the Mark Butler Golf Academy in Sedgley.
This will be the second course we have put on, we now have visually
impaired people assessing the facilities in Sedgley on a weekly basis.

Staffordshire Cricket have been running regular cricket sessions over the last 6 months in which a number of Activeyes members have been involved. They are again giving you the opportunity to find out more about visually impaired cricket and the chance to give it a go. So if you fancy hitting a SIX of bowling somebody out then please get in touch to register your interest or just come along on the day.
Wednesday 15th April 11am Join us for a gentle walk around this popular Wolverhampton Park, meeting outside the tearooms in the courtyard. The walk will last for approx 1 hour and we ill stop for light refreshments afterwards, please wear suitable footwear.

Activeyes Big Day Out
(Do something Different) on Monday 20th April Urban walk/Lunch & Pub Games Meeting at Claregate Park 10.30am, opposite the Claregate Pub, Codsall bus 535 from Wolverhampton.
We will start with a gentle warm up around the park, using the
new outdoor green gym – a good opportunity for those who
haven’t tried them to give them a go, we will then learn a bit
about Nordic walking and try out the poles that are used.
Leaving the park around 11:15am we will start our urban
circular walk towards Pendeford using the canal and taking
in Aldersley stadium aiming to be back for lunch at the Claregate by 1pm. After lunch we can take on an afternoon of indoor pub
games in the front function room which they will set aside for
us. Aiming to be finished by 4pm at the latest.
This is a bookable event for either the whole day (a level
of physical fitness and be used to walking is essential for the
full day option) or pick and mix with joining in for the green
gym extended session missing the walk, lunch, lunch and
games etc. If you would like to join us for what should be a

Outdoor Activity Session
(Do something different) at Kinver Scout Camp on April 27th & 28th
We have been invited by the princess trust to take part in an
exciting couple of day’s of challenges. We will head to Kinver
on the afternoon of the 27th and start our activities these will
include rock climbing, abseiling, archery and more. We will spend the night in a log cabin enjoying a fish and chip supper waking the next day to complete your challenges and returning late afternoon.
Cost of the trip is £20 per person this will cover your transport
fish & chips and tea/coffee.
